Shadow Shot Sunday..

Happy New Year everyone, I have been absent from SSSunday for a few weeks as my daughter and grandchildren are visiting here from Utah.  We have been having the most amazing fun, with trips to the beach and fun in the sun. The sand at our local surf beach is iron sand, which is why it is black.

My shadow shot this week was taken at sunset at the beach yesterday afternoon. Lucca arrived at the beach in dry clothes and in a matter of minutes was having a great time in the tide pools.

Thanks to Tracy over at Hey Harriet for hosting us, you can visit her over at Shadow Shot Sunday: http://heyharriet.blogspot.com/

Never a more perfect shot, shadow or otherwise, than one of a child having fun and this little does indeed look as though he's having a wonderful time! And a great shadow shot as well! Hope your new year is off to a great start! Enjoy!!

What cool sand! I've only seen sand in (almost) white along the east coast of the USA from Virginia to Florida. For the youngsters, the color is not an issue, the gooey wet sand on the beach is divine to sink your feet into it - not to mention making sand castles. Wonderful capture!

Take one small boy and place him near a small pool or puddle and he will soon be in the middle of it!! Nice shots! I see you are still having fun! Have a blast!

Love that dark sand...what fun ~ looks like Lucca loves his day at the beach! We've been having fun seeing what you've been up to with those grandkids (and...we think that sweet Emma looks quite a bit like her Nana!!)
Enjoy your time with your family Angela!!

Hey Harriet

This is beautiful! Black sand? Wow! How lovely that your family are visiting all the way from Utah! Enjoy your special times with them!
