Shadow Shot Sunday.....

Taken  a few weeks back ,  at a local beach. Unfortunately there has not been a lot of sun around this week to capture shadows....

This is a piece of driftwood, casting shadows..

Thanks Tracy for hosting Shadow Shot Sunday.

Great shadow shots for the day and I do SO understand having NO sun!!! We have a few minutes here, a few there, but not really enough to even grab my camera!! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!

Nice shots. It's always a good idea to have a few spare shadow shots through winter. As you never know if the sun will shine. Hope it hasn't been too dreary.

Driftwood is a pretty reliable shadow-caster! (Well, at least on sunny days!)

SHADOWY DINNER

A shadow, a shadow, a shadow you say?
A shadow is coming to dinner today?

Oh, what shall we feed it, and what will it eat?
Just toss down a few rays of light at its feet,

And watch its dark mouth gobble up every ray,
But be sure, my friend, you don’t get in its way;

Keep out of the light so it won’t gobble you.
(If I were the hostess, that’s just what I’d do.)

A shadow is easy to feed, so they say,
So welcome your shadow to dinner today.

Shadows here and there

A Wild Thing

Hey, thanks for the meaning of (my right eye)it must be a Maori term, so magical...the photo of the driftwood is fabulous, as well as the beach shot. When I think of your beloved New Zealand, I always think of the movies 'The Piano' and 'Once Were Warriors', both great movies with depictions of the tribes, old and modern...New Zealand is a beautiful country with much diversity, wish I had the means to visit...I'll just keep visiting you for that photo journey!!!

Have a wonderful week 'Nana'!

The scene in the first photo is so serene and beckoning, but the driftwood casts shadows that are pure art.
