Okay, so I have been trying to figure out a way to show all my blogging friends why we love the sea, beaches and native bush so much in this beautiful city that I live in. The best way I can think of is visually, and Mothers Day was a perfect opportunity. The Auckland Skytower has a revolving restaurant at the top, and on Sunday , Mothers Day, Nan (MIL) , Samantha (daughter), Alys (my son's partner)and myself all went to the Orbit restaurant for lunch. Not only was the company great, the food and service fantastic, the view was picture perfect.

This is the view South, way over there , past that hill, in the horizon is where I live. |

And I had to finish with this shot of a person who has jumped off the top of the tower. |

It certainly IS beautiful, Angela. I love cities by the sea, with bridges, and all those lovely boats! Perfect!

Oh, I believe that you love it there! I wish I could see it for myself, but I enjoy your photos.
I love that last shot.
I'm glad you got to go here.
I've always wanted to.
One day right?
What a great spot for lunch! That person at the end is mad!
Wow! Such views. Your city is beautiful. The pictures definitely tell the story.
That last picture was strange. I'm trying to figure out what he is hooked up to. Is he moving fast or floating gently downward?
Incredible!!! Love the vantage point from which you showed us the beauty of your hometown.
Thanks for showing your beautiful city, I love bird's eye views! I would love to visit there some day! :-)
