Shadow Shot Sunday

I want to share with you a bit of my world close to where I live, 25 minute drive from our home is the entrance to the Manukau Harbour. The Harbour has a reputation for being treacherous and unforgiving for boaties.
These shots were taken at the lighthouse at the Manukau Heads, the lighthouse is no longer in use, and has recently been rebuilt for historical purposes, there is however a signal station just below the lighthouse, where the harbourmaster resides..
The view of the harbour, and looking towards Auckland City is magnificent, even during Winter..
And on the way home I couldn't resist these little guys, with their Mums..

NZ seems to offer an outstanding beauty, the highlands and sea so rugged. Someday, me and the wheelchair will see NZ and Oz. and their amazing formations...
Wow-beautiful scenery and the lighthouse is stunning. That first view is really strange-like and Escher drawing-you could be looking up or down those steps.

Sure doesn't look like winter, but the views are fabulous and do look quite treacherous, especially in a storm, but beautiful.
Awesome shots Mum! The light house is GORGEOUS, we'll have to make sure we go there when we come home in January. There are SO many places I want to visit at home now that I'm not living there. It' amazing how much MORE beautiful home is when your thousands of miles away.

The New Zealand scenery is breathtaking! And the air looks so clean too! So Australia is 1700 kms away? Geez, that's really not that far at all. I could almost swim to NZ! Er...maybe not... :)
